Wow, so much has changed since my account of ‘A day in the life of a writer’. I barely know where to begin. Life happened and it’s been difficult to find time to write!
I mentioned that I’d work on getting a book trailer done – well I did. If you haven’t already seen it then you can view it here on a blog I devoted specifically to the awesomeness that is the Witch Hunt book trailer. Yup, I got around to it. I didn’t just sit there scoffing chocolate…okay maybe I did, but it gone done didn’t it?
When I mentioned earlier that ‘life happened’, I meant I’d had a baby WOOHOO! As you can imagine, writing went straight onto the back burner as I wanted to spend all my time with my bundle of joy. Now at one and a half and in a firm routine, I have time to spend writing here and there when said bundle of joy is napping. (Mums out there, you love those naps, right?)
I must also mention that in my ‘baby is napping time’ I’ve been watching Game of Thrones and Outlander. Books to tv series really are doing well these days aren’t they? I now have all these books added to my ‘to read’ list thanks to these awesome series. The good stuff comes from authors these days and why not? Bookshelves are abundant with undiscovered gold mines. Speaking of which, I believe the Throne of Glass series has been given the green light to appear on our television screens. Just to put it lightly, I’m ecstatic!
Anyway, things are moving along with the Black Sorcery Trilogy. Actually, Summoned has been going through some revisions. Things have been restructured and moved around. Therefore, it is turning out to be a little longer. Going over the storyline for book three made me realise I had to include a hell of a lot more in Summoned. Have no fear! Even though it has gone through some changes, I am immensely pleased with it and can’t wait to share it with you all.
